OncoAmerica News... OncoAmerica (OA) is now implementing the first IMRT service in the country of Venezuela in its OncoAmerica - Maracaibo center. OncoAmerica - Maracaibo was the first center in Maracaibo (Venezuela 2nd biggest city and home to Venezuela Petroleum industry) to implement:
Along with our IMRT implementation, we are also adding radiosurgery. With our Laser Aligned body frame, we are going to be able to implement Cranial and Whole body Stereotactic Surgery, SRS & SRT technologies. Our new center, is due to be open early 2008. OA will have 4-Linear Accelerators, CT-Simulators, 4-Hyperthermia units, PET and all of the latest technologies to deliver state of the art treatments to its patients. With over 25,000 Square Feet of construction our new regional center will service four states and the local Medical School, whom will use our facilities for their Radiation Oncology Residents.
